The wireless Infra Alert system from Agtronic Alerts has given Auckland-based farmer Gordon
Bruce the peace of mind that he’ll know when people visit his property.
"We installed the system because we live in a rural area, with a house at the end of a long driveway, and have always
found it difficult to hear or see if anyone has entered the
property or not," says Gordon.
The Infra Alert system is fastened to the gate at the entrance of Gordon's property and transmits an infra-red
beam that can detect when cars or people pass through the entrance. It then sends a signal to a receiver that is
located at the house, which alerts Gordon to the fact that someone has arrived.
As well as serving as a reliable security risk management tool, Gordon also likes to know if someone is coming up
to the house so he is ready to welcome them.
"We don't normally hear knocking on the front door if we are in the living room, especially during winter when
the doors are closed and the television is going. It’s great to have the warning that someone's
arrived so you can get a cup of coffee ready!" say Gordon.
Gordon also praises the quality of the Infra Alert system
- which has stood up to harsh weather and other environmental conditions for half a decade.
"We haven’t had any problems with the installation or maintenance of the alarm. I have had the Infra Alert system
for over five years now and would definitely recommend it to others living in a rural setting. We’ve had a great run and we
are able to relax in the knowledge that visitors to our property are being reliably monitored." |
